This blog respects your privacy. Below is a brief and honest description of what data is collected and why.

Analytics

The blog uses Umami — a self-hosted, open-source analytics tool. Umami does not set cookies, does not use browser fingerprinting, and does not share data with third parties.

What is recorded:

  • the page you visited
  • country (derived from IP address; the IP itself is not stored)
  • device type (mobile / desktop)
  • browser and OS

Data is stored on the blog’s own server and is not shared with Google or any other external service.

If you want to opt out of tracking — install a JavaScript blocker or enable Do Not Track in your browser: Umami respects this header.

Cookies

The blog uses one technical cookie: theme — to remember your preferred color scheme (dark / light). This cookie is stored only in your browser and is never sent to the server.

There are no marketing, advertising, or third-party cookies.

Fonts and Assets

All fonts (Roboto, Fira Code) are loaded from the blog’s own server — not from Google Fonts or any CDN. No requests are made to external servers when you visit the blog.

Contact

If you have questions about your data or want to request deletion — write to theseventyeightme@gmail.com.

Changes to This Policy

If the policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated. The blog does not send notifications — check the page as needed.
